2007 Botcon Exlcusives
A question for any Transformer fan out there with the answers -- Why are this year's Botcon exclusives selling for so much? How much did it cost originally to obtain the exclusives? I would have expected that this year's Botcon to have had more people attending than normal, thus more of this year's exclusives made than for past years (being easier to obtain and therefore not be too expensive). Just curious.

I definitely agree with you on this. I beleive people are jus money hungry and know that Transformer collectors will pay what ever amount it takes to obtain these exclusive figures. I live in Canada and cat make it to these Botcons but damn wish i could. I was checking for a Games Of Deception boxset and the cheapest i could find one was $600 and thats complete with everything. Another over priced figure would be the almighty great one himself...Fortress Maximus!! I cant believe that some person paid $3000
....continued from previous ...Like i was saying...I cant believe that some one purchased a MISB Fortress Maximus. Thats just crazy to pay that amount for a figure. $7000 more and i could put a down payment on a house for my collection. Oh well i just had to get that off my chest...Thanks for listening...LANCE

I'm not sure about the original price but,I think I read on a site that it was close to the $140.00 range.The reason they were so much is because they were made by the TF collectors club in attempt to get more members and more visitors to botcon.As for scalpers and gougers,you can't blame them for what they do.Blame the person that is crazy enough to pay the $300.00+ mark up.If I spent that much on a toy I think I would smack my self with a hammer!
